How can we not adore this God?

“And I sent terror ahead of you to drive out the two kings of the Amorites. It was not your swords or bows that brought you victory. I gave you land you had not worked on, and I gave you towns you did not build — the towns where you are now living. I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them.” -Joshua 24:12–13

There is nothing good in our lives that did not come from God. Everything, even the reason we are alive, is because of His mercy and grace.

When we understand the fullness of His love, grace, and mercy that He has freely given us (just look at Jesus on the cross), how can we not want to love and serve Him with everything we have?

“So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone.” -Joshua 24:14

How can we not adore a God who fights for our freedom, invites us to rest, and gives us good gifts we did not earn? There is no other god or idol that deserves our devotion.
